Client Testimonials

“I hired Bruce on a wrongful death involving a shooting that resulted in the death of a young girl.  Bruce’s inspection of the property, his patience in reviewing available testimony, and his analysis utilizing his vast experience was the key factor in an early resolution of the case for a confidential amount.”

Mark Levin

Senior Trial Attorney
Attorney Brian White & Associates, P.C.

“I retained Bruce Alpe as a premises liability and security expert in two separate assault cases—one occurring inside a bar and the other in a nightclub parking lot where security practices were called into question. Bruce’s expertise in the hiring, training, and supervision of contract security personnel proved critical to our case strategy and ultimate resolution. His combination of quantitative analysis and practical operational insight exceeded expectations. His real-world experience and credibility would have strongly resonated with a jury had trial been necessary.”

About Me

I offer expert witness services to both plaintiff and defense counsel in premises liability matters. My opinions are shaped by the facts of the case and the applicable standards of care — not by who retains me. That commitment to objectivity is what makes my testimony credible and durable under cross-examination.

With 25 years as an FBI Special Agent, Supervisory Special Agent, and national Chief Security Officer, I developed deep expertise in threat assessment, security program design, and defensible standards of care. That experience carried into the private sector as Senior Director of Security for Lakewood Church and Corporate Regional Security Director for PNC Financial Services, where I oversaw physical security across more than 1,000 locations nationwide.

I have served as a retained expert witness in multiple premises liability matters in Harris County, provided deposition testimony, and apply the full weight of that operational background to every case opinion I deliver. My analysis focuses on whether a property owner met the standard of reasonable care and whether harm was foreseeable — grounded in real-world security practice, not theory.

As a retained expert witness, I provide:
Foreseeability and notice analysis
Security program adequacy opinions
Deposition and trial testimony in premises liability matters

As a security consultant, I work with organizations on:
Security program design and risk assessment
Crisis preparedness and incident command
Threat mitigation and executive protection

I hold the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation — the highest board certification in security management — and a Master of Security Management.

The Alpe Group pairs my background with retired law enforcement investigators to support clients from risk assessment through trial.
